Chorus and flange can be pretty similar sounding.

    sorry i dont agree!
as a long time guitarer i love the sound of a good flanger as it takes a guitar signal and winds it thru an aircraft hangar-type thing.
whereas i hate the sound of chorus pedals…that phony 12 string effect or the sound of a bunch of untuned guitars-i really dislike that sound and to me flanger and chorus are definitely apples and well, you know!
    YMMV

My own opinion is…….and Im using a DOD stereo chorus as well and it happens to be my favorite chorus pedal……yes even more than that awefull thing E.H. tries to sell me. My chorus does not sound like untuned guitars, nor does it sound like a twelve string…however it does sound great. It goes super creamy and relaxed to Radio Friendly Unit Shifter speeds and I love it. I like Flangers and you CAN get the two sounding similar…..but not exact by any means….otherwise they wouldnt make the two different pedals…it would just be one. Phasers are good as well…and all of this is of course not any digital crappy effects but analog…the only way to go. As for DOD tearing up….after a while of use, the solder joints go out on the jacks, but thats the only problem Ive had out of the ones Ive owned. I’m not trying to get people riled up here…just throwing in what I think.

I was pretty upset when they just recently announced a show in North Hampton, I’d much rather see them there than Boston, more of the hometown you know? and not such a crazy big time club like the avalon.
I might just go to both, to the person talking about wanting to hang out with J and the band: the north hampton show would be a better bet. (I bet)

That’s what I figure. Unfortunately I can’t get to both shows. Maybe I’ll be able to meet them in Kentucky.

after seeing Dinosaur Jr. the other night I changed my mind on the tremelo. I really liked it live and it was used tastefully. I still think the lung sounded crumby on T.V. but they played it the other night and it was great.
Also, I showed up kind of late to seeing them in boston and I snuck my way up close to the stage, and who do I find standing next to me but J. Mascis. It was funny right after I said to my friend "what were they thinking having this lousy band open for them" I notice J. standing in front of me. And he really didn’t look too impressed I must say.
