AGAPParticipantDINOSAUR JR GET LOUD AT BENICASSIM
DINOSAUR JR continued the early 90s revival at the BENICASSIM FESTIVAL in Spain tonight (August 6).
The reformed grunge icons followed a set by The Lemonheads by rocking the Escenario Verde with the loudest set of the weekend so far.
Highlights included the classics ’Little Fury Things’, ’Freak Scene’ and their cover of The Cure’s ’Just Like Heaven’, the second time that song has featured on the stage this weekend!
The band – frontman and guitarist J Mascis, bass player Lou Barlow and drummer Murph – spoke earlier about their reunion this year, which came as a shock to many after Mascis and Barlow fell out following the band’s third album ’Bug’ in 1988.
Murph told NME.COM: “We have no plans, but we’re enjoying it at the moment.
He added: “We’ll do the rest of the shows and then we’ll see.
And Barlow admitted he’d been shocked at the people who have been coming along to the shows.
He said: “There are older people, but lots of younger people come along too, which is surprising to us.
