Since I did a Sat night and Sun morning thread in open topic got me thinking about is there any times that you find your Dino albums fit a certain time of day?I could listen to Dino anytime but maybe there`s certain times it works better then others.I remember Anthony saying something about listen to Where You Been when he gets up in the morning.

I think Bug is a good afternoon album,Where you Been I think of as a night album.

For me its about mood, not time of day.

I used to have Martin and Me in my CD player for my alarm. It was always nice every morning to hear "Thank you. Thank you very much," and then Thumb.

I listened to Dino records so many times, I couldn’t define a particular time of day for a Dino record anymore.
Generally: Dino records don’t work for me in the morning before coffee (nothing does ) and I like to listen to them especially when I have to concentrate.

J when I am driving
J when I am cooking
J when I am working (from home)
J when I am cleaning

J when there is nothing on TV (which is a lot of the time)

O.K., maybe I am biased, because for the last 3 – 4 months, i have been on a HUGE Dinsosaur Jr/J kick… It is all I have been listening to recently. Occaisionaly, I mix in some Sebadoh and New Radiant Storm King..

It is cool, but during the day there is NOTHING ON more channels, and since I work from home, I can only handle CNBC and MSNBC for so long before I get really depressed, and then J just comes on the CD player

I am on a quest to find some good indie bands.. Live365 also plays from time to time.

I have a J or Dino CD in my car’s cd changer all the time it seems. So I guess I listen to him all the time. Recently I have been making mixed tapes for my car and for other people too. So I always put a few songs of J’s on them as well. Of course when you put J’s stuff on a tape and someone else listens to it they always ask you, "who is the new band"? You all know how this conversation goes. Yes I also have a tape player in my car and I make tapes for other people too. I have no access to a burner yet, but I’m working o it!

deepsludge, you’ve got it good: No neighbours?!

I’ve got no TV at all, and the radio program is crap (except of freakscene radio of course) so I’ve got many occasions to let my CD player work.
And for me, Dino is perfect when I’m forced to do taxes or the likes. Wrong music when you have to concentrate is definitely disturbing

Carl., if you just look around on this site (in open topic, for example: here ), you will find many many hints leading to other fine music, that’s worth while to listen to. I discovered many other bands I like here on this site.
By the way: I like the Name ‘Carl.’ with the space.
Sounds like: "Carl. Definitely. That’s all."

Hey!

I agree with a lot here… listen to J anytime, anywhere, anyplace…all the time

When I lived away from home for a couple years Green Mind was played almost constantly. Made me smile, even when I missed my real life horribly!!!
Driving home would always play Where You Been, and drive really really fast

I agree Dino is ok for anytime,I just wanted to see if there was certain times that worked better.
Carl-like FC said,in open topic, the bands we talk about there are worth checking out,you might also want to check out sites like insound and epitonic:

http://www.insound.com/mp3/

http://www.epitonic.com/

Good to check out some songs there by obscure and not so obscure bands.

Now that AG is down and out, where can I get some MP3’s? I like to check out some MP3’s (more than 1 or 2 per band) and then buy the CD’s if I like the band..

Of course, you can PM me with that information, especially if you think we are being monitored.. Remember "Just because your paranoid, Don’t mean they’re not after you" (hmmm, maybe that can be my sig?????)

hey Carl.
I guess, just to mention , that a site on the www exists is not illegal in itself…
I put an answer to your question in Open Topic: ( here )
as I thought it would lead a bit too far away from "Dino for when" …
