    what is the best way to detoxify your body? what are the best things to eat and drink and take? and what are "other" things you can do? any ideas or help would be immensely appreciated!! :D

    eating oranges and drinking water for a couple of days is a good way to cleanse your system. it won’t help you pass any urine screening though, if that’s the purpose.

    dried peaches has a highly laxative(spelling?) effect, so it would be a good bowel emptier, but be sure to stay close to the loo.

    I think to truly detox your body, it takes several months. :shock:

    yeah, because I don’t smoke or anything I wasn’t even thinking of that kind of detox……..my favorite is to go RAW, fruit and fresh fruit juices, avecados with tomatos and onions for lunch, salad with nuts in the evening, I drink green tea with honey, when going raw. Lots of water during the day, If you can do this for one week, you will not BELIEVE how good you will feel.

    You just want to kiss and hug and make love to the world……..and meditation and prayer become so simple as the monkey mind is put down……

    i think raw food is great if your a monkey … everyone i know that has gone on the raw food trip had turned into skin and bones and lost all their muscle mass.. i think the best way to detox is to just go on a liquid diet, i used to have a juice-tornado and would use it for that purpose… peyote is great to detox with if you can get it… it makes you puke and the hippies call it "getting well" i dont know but when you puke it makes you trip harder.

    i mean like those temple monkeys in Hanuman’s temple they have over in India with all the raw food piled up for the monkey’s they let them crawl all over it and shit… our (humans) bodies are geniticly inclined towards cooked food i think…

    hey everyone thanks for the advice. not tryin to pass any test, just tryin to…make some changes, you know? spiritually, physically, mentally… tryin to be better, tryin to clean myself out. i really struggle with my relationships with others(this has become a BIG problem, to the point where i now have little contact with anyone.) im not sure how i ended up this way, but… anyway. i figure i gotta start within first. get the body feelin right and then work on the mind and heart and soul. correct? :D

    …and yeah i figured it would take a while. ive been eating, drinking(not much alcohol, i think im a control freak, therefore it always seemed really bad to get drunk and act crazy), taking whatever i wanted since i was 13. im now 30. weird saying… er, writing that. but i know to truly clean myself out will take a while.

    Yes. I wish you luck on your quest. It’s taken me years and years. It’s always a struggle. What do you consider to be a problem with your relationships? Maybe people here can help or give some advice… 8)

    people just seem really uncomfortable around me. i think i freak em out with some sort of weird vibe i put off, but really i dunno…

    the indians used to go on a vision quest to get their trip together.. just go way out in the woods and dig a hole and cover it with branches. sit in there until you get a vision.. but make sure you pick a spot with good energy cause im sure the bad ju ju’s could bight you on the b’jesus.

    don’t laugh, but there is an elixer that David Blaine drinks to cleanse his system before he does his endurance stunts; periodically I will do a short fast and use this drink in combination with my daily vitamins.

    warm water
    spoonful of maple syrup
    two spoonsful of lemon juice
    sprinkle of cayenne pepper

    the syrup gives you your sugar, the acid in the lemon juice works through your digestive system, the cayenne keeps your blood warm as solid food would. and of course the water keeps you hydrated.

    if you want an official recipe, you can look it up online; I believe it’s called the "Stanley-Burroughs Master Cleanser."

    Here is some basic knowledge for eating well…

    Carbohydrates before the exercise.
    Right after the exercise som more carbohydrates to get the muscles back on earth.
    Later a lot of proteins to get the muscles growing. (Hera-proteins).

    Repeat this if you are going for muscles.. haha!

    If you are not interested in exercising, eat some proteins instead of too much carbohydrates. Don’t forget to eat vegetables, which contain a lot of vitamins. Try to eat the right fat instead of the wrong one. I don’t know what the english names for them are. It is important.

    Hank von Helvete from Turbonegro forgot to mention eating in his "perfect deathpunk-body" movie. That is a dvd-bonus that is included in the newest Turbonegro album Party Animals… :D

    Oh, I forgot to mention about blood pressure. Don’t smoke, avoid eating candies/snacks that lift the sugar in blood too fast into too high rates.. It is better to eat f.ex. pourage, because it melts slow and gives energy in small amounts a long time.

    Sleep 8-9 hours. :D
