lethrneck4Participantgreat show tonite. lots of people and eveyrone was into it.i thought Lous claim of no new songs was a joke at first..but they slayed us with the old stuff all night, not a new song in sight (more my tastes, haha) i got a few pics and videos ill put up in the next few days. setlist from what i remember Bulbs, yeah we know, tarpit, freak scene, repulsion, little fury things, backto your heart, feel the pain, wagon, out there, gargoyle, does it float, kracked, sludgfeast (im missing some im sure). i got the last 4 on video i dont know how they came out ill see in an hour. they had problems all night lous bass and amp (even his bass guitar strap, haha) were giving him problems all night, lous bass cut out end of SLudgfeast not sure if it was the amp or what, but that kinda ended the night a song or 2 short i think. J also seemed to be having some guitar problems. still a great show..ill update on how the videos came out and post them
ALso, i got the 7inch, the new song is pretty cool.

gergsieParticipantYeah, I was definitely disappointed that there were new songs. I too thought Lou’s claim of no new songs was an April Fool’s joke. Not a bad show, but a bit Dinosaur Ordinaire. If you’ve seen the reunion, you’ve probably seen this show already. Very predictable set list. But itt was good to see the band in such a small place, and it was cool to get the 7".
Setlist:
Bulbs of Passion
Tarpit
Back to Your Heart
Repulsion
Been There All The Time
Little Fury Things
Out There
Feel The Pain
Crumble
The Wagon
Freak Scene
Gargoyle
—
Does It Float
Kracked
SludgefeastUnfortunately, there was no "Yeah We Know" as that’s one I’ve never heard live yet.

King TubbyParticipantThat’s not a bad setlist as far as the same-old same-old goes, but it does suggest that no one’s getting to hear new material this tour, since I doubt they’ll find the time between gigs to work up the new songs. Bummer. But my girlfriend has never seen Dino before, so everything will be new to her.

RobertParticipantFirst of all, thanks for the review and a big pat on the back to davepeck for the recording !
Fingerscrossed lethrneck4’s footage and video will turn out nicely and on the www sooner rather than laterHow was the artwork for the 7" ?
It’s a shame they didn’t play any new songs, and even though King Tubby has a point I for one sure hope he’s wrong about whether or not they will perform any new ones live on this tour.

I listened to "Tarpit" from the show, and it’s a great recording. Thanks for that!

lethrneck4Participanti looked at the vids i got last night, pretty good quality. im gonna try to get them on youtube tonite after work. i got Little Fury Things (first vid of the night i didnt have a good angle, so this one is mainly lou and murph only) Gargoyle (which was amazing, maybe the best version ive heard them jam out) Does it Float and i got Kracked > SLudgefeast. they came kinda dark, so im brightening them up as best i can. my pictures came out less than thrilling, as i didnt have a good angle til the last 20 mins of the show, i got a bunch of lou murph shots, some j shots (he was on the other side of the stage) ill see what i can get up tonite…yeah KING< no Yeah We Know now that i really think about it

alosaurParticipantI saw a few people recording not sure if it was the band or not doing the recording. The show was good but no alchahol, you had to run across the street, and I was bummed there was no new songs but hte Gargoyle solo was awesome.

MarqueeMoon77ParticipantDid anyone else see what looked like Curt Kirkwood, this was probably the best Dinosaur show i’ve been to. Bummer about Lou’s amp, my girlfriend forgot the tickets and then when we got there the Awesome Color merch guy put us on the guest list which was fucking awesome.

King TubbyParticipantHere’s a friend’s remarks about the show:
Dino was pretty good the other night. Same set as the last time thru, though. Hopefully they don’t become the Ramones with the same set over and over again. They cut the encore short when the bass rig crapped out during Sludge Feast. The blurb in the Advocate said something to the effect of, "As soon as they take the stage at Daniel St. Dinosaur Jr. will automatically become the loudest band to ever play there."
He also said the sound was "extraordinarily good." Is Noel doing the sound for them this time around again?
