Hey Mat,

Got into the BEARS in 84,Ditka, McMahon, Singletary, Payton, Hampton, Butthead, McMichael, Fridge, and so many others that made them a team worth watching. Where I come from we have the crap football league…ick. We used to get nfl football via some minnesota and fargo tv stations ie tons of vikings. They just never did it for me even with the purple uniforms but the BEARS well they just had that something special that has kept me going back every year. It was a great run thru the 80’s and early 90’s, I remained delusional thru the nineties and kept believing they would win every game…that hurt. So nice to have them turn it around, last years cade mcclown experience just about killed me. So like you said luck or not we are 7-2 in charge of the nfc central and heading into minnesota…go BEARS.

mark my words, by the end of the season, the bears are going to get knocked off that delicate, little pedestal they’re standing on at the moment. playoffs? maybe, but they most certainly will not advance if they get in. i mean, are you guys seriously pinning your hopes on miller and matthews? first rate scrubs at best. their D is highly overrated as well. now, i’m not saying the pack is going to the S-bowl, but they’ll go farther than the teddy bears.

Relax room for all football fans here, we have vikings and lions, cleveland etc fans here and its all cool…most of the time. Like Kurticus said its not football without some elbowz but lets limit it to that.

Brett favre is a great football player, even he was giving the BEARS props for how far they have come this year. Last year we were 1-7, this year 7-2, best start since 1990. We are definitely a young team but with some hot up and coming talent…A Train…not bad for a 1st year guy, David Terrell, not a great start but some definitely talent, Brian Urlacher…whoa probably going to the pro bowl again…in his 2nd year. I agree with you on the qb deal but hey its a better situation this year than last, I was a proud member of the tradecade.com website. I feel for miami having not only wanny as the coach but now cade as the third string qb [img]images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img]

So like I said great to have someone else to trash talk about football with but lets keep it fun and not slag each other off…that would be far from cool.

Hey Dude,

No need to get so upset. can’t take a little ribbing? No, not a janitor, a recording engineer at the Chicago Recording Company (my buddy chris shepard recorded and mixed most of Being There here). They were here mixing a couple of the songs for their forthcoming album here as well as shooting footage for a documentary that is being made about them. I was lucky enough to get to work on the session for the last couple days they were here. The materiel is some of their best. Jeff, John, Glenn and Jay were some of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure of working with. Maybe you should take some pointers and relax a little, this is just good clean fun.

I didn’t mess with your rating, whatever that’s all about.

Hey Allison.
Speaking of 84/85 bears. I got to meet Keith Van Horne a few weeks ago at work. somehow he’s friends with chris and rich robinson, who were here recording a song for an up coming sean penn move. He was super nice and down to earth, regular kind of guy.
It was really great being in chicago during those years. As a kid I think one of my favorite things was the McDonalds player trading cards. I think I managed to get the whole team. I should see if they are lying arond in a shoebox somewhere.

unfornuately missing the show. J is immensly talented, somewhat of a nut, but amazingly talented. Jeff was real cool with me, he’s kinda a shy i guess but was really very nice. You will really like the new stuff, I think its great. I ran into john and glenn at the radiohead show here in chicago and they didn’t have a label at that time. hopefully that stuff has worked itself out.

those stories are funny as hell. I really pumped about the game. alas I’m working so will only be able to catch bits and pieces. I’m happy my B team the 49ers were ahead last I checked, so hopefully it’s a good omen for my A Team the mighty Bear.

Its a three point spread huh? I gotta call my gambling friend and make sure he’s not betting on the game. He bet against the bears when they lost to Green Bay (I was not amused) and I have since forbidden him from betting against the Bears.

Hey alison,
things are pretty slow here for me here, so I’ll get to catch a good portion of the game. J is still up in the air for next week. It’ll all depend on how fast the engineer I’m working for works. we got two songs done, eight to go. If we get done by the 1st I’ll go to the show.

49ers looked great. I caught a couple of stellar runs.
