Bucky RamoneParticipantIt’s still some time away, but this year I want to make a nice & cool seasonal mixÂ
for a couple of friends, on the shortlist thus far:
Jim White – Christmas Day
Low – Silent Night
Erlend Øye – Last Christmas
Waitresses – Christmas Wrapping
Willard Grant Conspiracy – Christmas in Nevada
Jason Ringenberg – Merry Christmas my darling
Flaming Lips – A change at Christmas (say it isn’t so)
Pogues – Fairytale of New York
Joy Zipper – Christmas Song
My Morning Jacket – X-Mas Curtain
The Raveonettes – Christmas Song
Alan Vega – No more Christmas Blues…any more suggestions?

likeaghostParticipantif you like Joni Mitchell, as i do, then "Wish I had a River" is quite a christmassy tune.
Oh, and "Back Door Santa" not the Bon Jovi version but the original r and b classic, sampled by Run-DMC in "Christmas in Hollies" also a fine selection, plus their second christmas track the name escapes me but it was about wanting presents or something, hip-hop christmas is fun stuff sometimes.
Anything from Louis Armstrong’s christmas album, a christmas morning tradition in my world, "zat you Santa Clause?" is a highlight.
