everyonelovesjaronParticipantWhat’s the best debut album of all time?
(And just to make it sort of equitable, let’s not count former band’s frontmen’s solo albums as a debut. That’s right – no voting for Chris Cornell’s Euphoria Morning. )
My vote (which may change) is NIN’s Pretty Hate Machine. Or maybe the Cranberries’ Everyone Else Is Doing It So why Can’t We.
Um… I’ll get back to you on my vote. But the rest of you, list your favorite.

Salami – you are a veritable source of wisdom.
On another note – let’s play 6 degrees of Billy Corgan. OK… Billy Corgan was in a band named Smashing Pumpkins which had a guitarist named James Iha which owned a record studio named Scratchie Records which signed a band named Fugazi. Corgan to Fugazi in 4.
Also, Iha played on the album Wack Azz Tuba Riff for Fugazi, I believe.

SGParticipantAre there two bands named Fugazi?
The one I`m talking about is from Washington,DC;one of the most well known indie bands;they`re on Discord Records.
Scratchie records?it seems unlikely someone would call their band Fugazi, knowing that another well known band has the same name.
The Pumpkins know about DC`s Fugazi!I think they toured with DC band Shudder To Think, another Dischord band.July 25, 2001 at 4:35 am #65924

Jesus, what is this supposed to mean? Do we have to like the debut of Britney spears just because of her career?
And Salamiguy, I liked the first two 12" by Swervedriver, but with Raise they´d already lost it me thinks.I wonder why no one mentioned the debut of the Violent Femmes. Such a classic.
Also Fat Axl by Silverfish
Lido by th Faith Healer
Scarified by the Dirt Merchants (whatever became of them)
and -of course- Domestique by the Delgados.
