Could someone give me a logical explanation of what the lyrics to MM’s song ‘Teeth Like God’s Shoeshine’ means?

I’ve always liked this song, and it’s really starting to bug me that I can’t figure it out. Oh well, if you don’t have any clue, then any lie you can make up that sounds believable will give me a great deal of comfort.

    Thanks, Jaron.

I`ve given up trying to figure out what indie songs mean, they`re beyond understanding with conventional logic.I like songwriting like that though, playing around with words.
That MM song,I like the lyric about the malls soon to be ghost towns.the lyric about the guy with the teeth like God`s shoeshine sounds to me to be about people that seem to have a sparkling life but are really phony,"I shout that you`re all fake" is another lyric in Trailer Trash that touches on the same thing.

Yeah, I agree with the explinations of the lines you gave.

I’m particuarly interested in one’s thoughts on this passage:

"Take them all for a long ride and you’ll go around town
No one wants to be uptight anymore.
You can be ashamed or be so proud of what you’ve done.
But not no one, not now, not ever or anyone.
Take them all for the sense of happiness that comes fr4om hurting deep down inside."
