Does J really believe he was abducted by aliens, or is that just another delightful, offhand Mascis attempt at humor?

I’ve always been curious about this, too. I first heard about it in an interview J did years ago in either a guitar mag or Musician mag. I have the mag at home. In the interview, he talked about it….it seems he said he had a scar of some type that was from the "abduction". Then, a bit later, Mike Watts referenced J’s belief in aliens in Spin(or Rolling Stone, I probably still have this, also). I’ll see if I can dig the articles up tonight.
