Just thought I’d kick this thread off. I know J checks out the boards sometimes so maybe if we list which show(s) you are going to be hitting and your 3 fav songs you would like to hear. Who knows, we might just get suprised.

Well, here are mine :
gig – Cat’s Cradle – NC 10/26/00

Maggot Brain – with Mascis + Watt together it would be great to see them do this cover live!
Out There – Can’t get enough of this song
Freak Scene – One of my favorites live

Hi,

Going to the Minneapolis show Nov 4, I was going to also pick Freak Scene & Out There, killer songs. But these are my 3

1. They always come
2. Start Choppin
3. Wagon

Also if they do any cover tunes, how about an iggy tune or City Slang.

I’ll be at the Atlanta show, October 25 at the Cotton Club and here are my top three "oldies":

In a Jar – my all time absolute favorite (J, if you decide to play this one, I wouldn’t mind a lot if you dedicate it to dfk )

Repulsion

Out There

These are my old favorites, but I am really looking forward to hearing the new ones live, too. 12 more days!!!!!!!!!!!

last time i saw DinoJr in NYC they played Raisans and i wouldn’t mind hearing it this time ’round. umm, Budge would be cool too. and, Get Out of This!!!! (i’ve never seen any bootlegs with this song, so i don’t even know if its ever been played live, but i really like it).

So, to summarize:

Raisans
Budge
and
Get Out Of This
in NYC on 11/1

I can’t believe that after years of waiting for J to come to Holland, he’s playing Amsterdam (about 20 miles from where I used to live) when I’m in the States! But anyway, I don’t mind spending 18 hours in a bus if it means I finally get to see J live for the first time, so I just ordered my ticket for the show in Chicago, November 3rd!

And I fully agree with Jeremiah about Maggot Brain, that would be wonderful. (Maybe George Berz can play the organ?) Other than that, I would love to hear Out There and Turnip Farm. But I’m also really looking forward to hearing the new songs live, so whatever’s cool with me.

"Finally, there can be no doubt that the one characteristic of ‘reality’ is that it lacks essence. That is not to say that is has no essence, but merely lacks it. (The reality I speak of here is the same one Hobbes described, but a little smaller.) Therefore the Cartesian dictum ‘I think, therefore I am’ might better be expressed ‘Hey, there goes Edna with a saxophone!’"

i would really like J to play a lot of his older stuff from his first 3 albums, and from his older albums

I am really looking forward to hearing the new songs live but the three old tunes I would like to hear are: Whatever’s Cool With Me (Did J ever play that tune live?), No Bones (Rocks pretty heavy in the middle of that song), and Puke + Cry ( I like the version J played on the last tour).

i know i’ve already given my three but i’d like to add a couple. I’ll be going to the london gig:

Water
Too hard

Kracked would be especially good as it is my favourite J song with the best solo.

Well, Jasper, when I am actually going to the show in Amsterdam (haha, no i’m really sorry we can’t go together…),
I’d like to hear:
Repulsion, I’ve heard a few live versions and he just sings it very cool live.
Alone, I’d love to hear him play the solo’s on that one.
Sludgefeast, I have it live on the Keeblin cd, and it’s just an amazing overwhelming sound.

Olaf

P.s. Maggot Brain would also be very cool, but I don’t expect them to play it.
