OriginalPosterLostParticipantJust thought I’d kick this thread off. I know J checks out the boards sometimes so maybe if we list which show(s) you are going to be hitting and your 3 fav songs you would like to hear. Who knows, we might just get suprised.
Well, here are mine :
gig – Cat’s Cradle – NC 10/26/00Maggot Brain – with Mascis + Watt together it would be great to see them do this cover live!
Out There – Can’t get enough of this song
Freak Scene – One of my favorites livejeremiah

OriginalPosterLostParticipantI can’t believe that after years of waiting for J to come to Holland, he’s playing Amsterdam (about 20 miles from where I used to live) when I’m in the States! But anyway, I don’t mind spending 18 hours in a bus if it means I finally get to see J live for the first time, so I just ordered my ticket for the show in Chicago, November 3rd!
And I fully agree with Jeremiah about Maggot Brain, that would be wonderful. (Maybe George Berz can play the organ?) Other than that, I would love to hear Out There and Turnip Farm. But I’m also really looking forward to hearing the new songs live, so whatever’s cool with me.

"Finally, there can be no doubt that the one characteristic of ‘reality’ is that it lacks essence. That is not to say that is has no essence, but merely lacks it. (The reality I speak of here is the same one Hobbes described, but a little smaller.) Therefore the Cartesian dictum ‘I think, therefore I am’ might better be expressed ‘Hey, there goes Edna with a saxophone!’"– Woody Allen

OriginalPosterLostParticipantI am really looking forward to hearing the new songs live but the three old tunes I would like to hear are: Whatever’s Cool With Me (Did J ever play that tune live?), No Bones (Rocks pretty heavy in the middle of that song), and Puke + Cry ( I like the version J played on the last tour).

OriginalPosterLostParticipantWell, Jasper, when I am actually going to the show in Amsterdam (haha, no i’m really sorry we can’t go together…),
I’d like to hear:
Repulsion, I’ve heard a few live versions and he just sings it very cool live.
Alone, I’d love to hear him play the solo’s on that one.
Sludgefeast, I have it live on the Keeblin cd, and it’s just an amazing overwhelming sound.Olaf
P.s. Maggot Brain would also be very cool, but I don’t expect them to play it.
