Sgt. Pepper`s is one of my fav Beatles album,I always used to laugh about Mr. Kite;Pee Wee`s Playhouse had Mr Kite,I always thought about that song.Sonic Youth do a cool cover of"Within you without you" on a Sgt. Pepper`s tribute album.
Ramones debut album is great,a blueprint for thousands of bands. An album that changed alot of lives.</STRONG><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Yeah, if you listen to all the Beatles albums in order of release, Sgt. Pepper is really the point where you realize, "My God, Lennon wasn’t trying to be cool at all."
As for the Ramones, I agree entirely. Like when we were making an indie compilation over in the mix tape forum, nearly every Ramones song mentioned was from that LP. It just seems like every song on that album IS my favorite song by the band, and there’s very few albums I can saw that about: Led Zeppelin IV, comes to mind as another.
