uhhh, quite frankly, sony md’s _do not_ suck. they’re all the best parts of both cassettes (recordability and portability) and cd’s (digital sound) with advantages cassettes never had (like seamless clean removal and altering of track listings for mix MD’s)… i like my md just as much as my cd player and turntable. everyone, check out a sony md player when you can… i have both a portable for outside use and a sony mxd-d40 cd/md deck for recording. i’ve recorded both vinyl and cd’s (the latter with high speed copying), and with digital recordings of vinyl, the mxd-d40 is a dream to pop in track markings!
