yeah Townes Wrote "Tecumseh Valley",I first heard Steve Earle do it,then Nanci Griffith on her "Other Voices,Other Rooms" album;Townes sings back up.
den buck-that tribute album should be good,too bad they did`nt ask J,I would love to hear J do "Sanitarium Blues".
Richard Buckner is often compared to Townes,I never heard any of you talk about him,if you don`t know his music,check out tinytelephone.com there`s 8 mp3`s there,check them out if you like Townes,Farrar,Earle.
