Tobin Sprout used to be in Guided by Voices, and I think his music sounds much like them. For the J connection: I guess that some of his stuff is kinda "Martin & Me"-like. Check out http://www.tobinsprout.com for some RealAudio files.

Wilco is great! I really like "Being There", and I’ve always thought that "The Lonely 1" would be a great description of J.
Are you into the Jayhawks? I have "Hollywood Town Hall" and "Tomorrow the green grass" and they’re very good.
