J is a great drummer technically but he is too cagey. A drummer has to be all out. otherwise you might as well have a drumm machine.

<P>You ever hear about how Ringo Starr always says he is the greatest Rock and Roll drummer. It’s because he has style. Pat has style. He is not holding back. His personality comes across, even if J is proscribing every beat he plays.

<P>J has great stage presence. That’s why at Dinosaur concert everybody would crowd right up in front of the stage. So why woud you want to stick him behind a drum kit?
