It’s always funny when my parents get into the music I like…my mom is forever borrowing my Pearl Jam tapes, and my dad always turns the radio up when Alice in Chains comes on. Mom also really likes a lot of the rockabilly I listen to, and actually went to a Reverend Horton Heat show with me last year [img]images/smiles/converted/smile.gif[/img]

The only comments they’ve ever made about J were "he looks like a nice man" (my mom, looking at the pic of me & J), and "wow, nice fuzzbox effect" (my dad, upon hearing the intro guitar solo in "Alone").

As much as parents can give you a complex, they can also be really cool.

p.s. I almost forgot, Mom was really impressed with the "Leaving on a Jet Plane" cover– said it’s the first version she’s heard with "some life" in it [img]images/smiles/converted/cowicon.gif[/img]
