Re: Is it just me or do debut albums rule?

I think debut albums rule alot of times because the artist gets freaked out too much to make the 2nd record,what to do with the music;try something new or stick to a formula,write songs in the vein of the 1st album or change a little,etc.
Not to get off topic but my theory is the first album you hear by an artist,not necessarily their first album is the one you like most.That seems to happen to me alot,it`s the one you hear first when you discover an artist,therefore your favorite.
