Anyone else remember reading that J didn’t know guitar chords by their names until the late 80’s? I think it was in an interview with him, Kevin Shields and some british wank crica 1991. Anyways it was about like:

J: I learned guitar by playing solos. Playing power chords hurt my fingers really bad, so I just played solos first.

Interviewer: So you don’t know chords?

J: I learned their proper names finally, so yes I can play them.

I’m trying to locate that article, but I dont see it anywhere. I remember being talk about pot and Domino’s Pizza in the interview too… Anyone?
