Freakwater are great, especially their "End time" album, love it!. You should also check out a band called "Oh Susanna", their latest album "Sleepy little sailor" sounds like a cross between Gillian Welch and the Cowboy Junkies… I just bought the new "His Name is alive" cd called "Someday my blues will cover the earth" (great title), and it’s the best R&B-album I’ve ever heard….(and that on 4AD records, made by someone who started in a band called Elvis Hitler!)
