From somewhere on that same site: this gem of a short review:

quote:
Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions: Bavarian Fruit Bread (Modular) More half-baked, opium-infused folk music from the ex-Mazzy Star vocalist, and quite lovely. Breathy, hypnotic, slow as a wet week and sensual as a massage, with cello from Ji-Young Moon and guitars from Bert Jansch and My Bloody Valentine’s Colm O’Ciosoig. Sandoval sounds so sedated, you fear the next thud you hear will be her falling off her chair.
