Some great concerts of the last couple of months:

Slobberbone – Paradiso Amsterdam
This was at the small upstairs hall, the place was quite full, and the temperature was quite high (to put it mildly). Slobberbone succeeded
in raising the temperature another couple of degrees with their unique mix of country and something between hard rock and punk. Highlights: "Gimme back my dog", "Barrelchested" and a bassplayer throwing his "Drive-by truckers" into the crowd….. Some time after the show (we were having a nice and quiet beer to cool down a little), a half-naked bass-player came looking for his t-shirt (in the proud posession of a good friend of mine). After some negotiations it was returned to its original owner, it was traded for a signed (by the whole band) copy of "Barrelchested"……

Neil Young & Crazy Horse – Ahoy Rotterdam
The last concert of his European tour, three hours of the best music on this earth, Neil looked he wanted to play on and on, but the Crazy Horse looked exhausted, and in need of it’s stable…..
A couple of very good friends of mine and me finished evaluating the gig at 7 in the morning in a pub. Funny to get out of a pub when the sun is shining again and all the ‘normal’ people are going to their work, it is even more funny when you realize that you’re supposed to be at the office again about one hour later….
