In Rolling Stone a couple years they had a little sidebar article on artists that were doing things with commercials. They mentioned that J was turned down for a Nike commercial. Very odd..
I thought the use of Out There in Waynes’ World was pretty cool. Did not fit but gave the ‘saur more exposure. The strangest J addition to a soundtrack would have to be Blah on the Melrose Place soundtrack. Clearly the standout track on the album even thought I was ashamed to buy it at the time.
