Re: commercial use of cool songs

Famine, War, global warming and here we are discussing if so called cool music should be used for daft commercials. Well, Iggy has sold out a long time ago and if I was in a crap indie band struggling to make a living out of my music I wouldn´t turn down 10000 $ from Nike or whatever. And some commercials are quite good. Just saw Unbreakable the other day and was really chuffed, that they had the Pixies´ I´ve been tired on the soundtrack. I know, it´s not an ad, but somehow the same thing.
The only two bands I wouldn´t want to be used for commercials are probably Fugazi and the Dead Kennedys.
All others are cool with me. After all, this is capitalism.
