About the Band
J Mascis + The Fog was a side project of J Mascis that existed from 1996 to 2002. Unlike his solo work, this project featured more collaborative elements and guest musicians, including Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine and Bob Pollard of Guided by Voices. The project allowed Mascis to explore different musical directions while maintaining his signature guitar style and songwriting approach.
